A nice dingo is on my "must do" list , although those two look like there was some farm dog bloodlines in there history. Two less lamb and calf killers out there.

As it is a cool nights Autumn Muzz the hides are getting quite thick,not as heavy as they will be in two months but still getting woolly.
I thought about the dogs skin tanned as a mat but the $120 for his scalp lighting up in my mind showed me the way.

I gave some bitch in heat urine to the guy that traps around the RAAF base in Townsville.Troops thought I was mad when I told them to collect it from one of our bitches Worked a treat and he trapped one male and shot another.

I kick myself now - I shot a nice classical dingo in North Qld some years back and didnt keep it . Had several other attempts to get one but no luck as yet. But I will succeed .... ;-)

I had a BIG black male come up my scent cone as I lay in the grass doing some dog work in Tindal. He didn't care about the military dog coming up behind him and as I watched him come closer I thought "shit this is going to get interesting"

those one sure look big and solid in the coat. Pleased we dont have them here , although my small sheep flock do get mostered from time to time by town dogs. But then we do live in town.....

I absolutely detest them.

We had so many in Arnhemland (completely protected) that is was a treat every month or so to see a Wallaby, and that was a real rare treat.
After a month or so of buffalo hunting with the smell of capes and heads stained in to the back of my pick-up I would often look behind the truck and see several dogs following along for a cheap feed.

They would raid my camp if it was left alone and capes and heads had to be secured for fear of them being dragged off.

Way too many of them.

I actually watched, from a distance, a pack work a herd of buffalo around and around in circles until one small calf tired of running around and was pulled down pronto.

Only wild dogs we have here are on Native reserves. Not above eating their owners if they pass out drunk.

Paul they 'will o the wisp' in and out of the ranges and you can never know where they will turn up.They can get pressure from elsewhere that in turn pushes them my way or to another valley.

Why do you gut wild dogs, I don't think Id eat a dog, but our Indians did and some still do..

When I was trapping at the ranch I gathered piss from all my coyote kills, and I purchased Ocelot urine and soaked the turds in it, best coyote bait going and would surely work on wild dogs.

I open them up so as to retrieve their bladders for the contents for luring.
Ocelots are a bit thin on the ground in these parts.

I've heard the Chinese won't eat them in the summer as they raise your blood pressure.

Heard some greenie on the radio assuming hunters eat fox. I don't think I'd go for that, but it might make sense with a roquette salad.
