Took the young fella out to the range last sunday
A bit late now I know but I lost the internet for 6 days and have had to have some very strong words to Telstra.
Anyway took the 6.5 and my sons .22 for a sight in. We wanted to fit the scope to his anshultz .222 but the leupold mounts wouldn't fit on the dovetail of the rifle. Looks like I have to get them milled out a bit to match the contour of the anshultz. The young fella did very well, even had a shot of the 6.5 which booted him a bit. One thing I did notice was the amount of "stuff" people bought to the range with them. Guys were rocking up with plastic trunks on wheels that even I could fit into. I sort of felt inadequate with my little backpack containing everything I needed.
You didnt know that range days are an excuse to show off how much junk you own? Shame on you

Cant be cool if you dont have all the toys......

MOA TACTICALI have a plastic trunk for F-Class and the range, but I have cheap gear.
My mates have $1200 front rest and $200 rear bags.
Well I'm very uncool Muzza. My spoting scope is a cheap little tasco telescope

georgeldThat, plus the majority of shooters had gone to AR's while I was still shooting the old '17 Enfield bolt guns in CMP match's is why I stopped going to match's completely.
I would go to the B/P shoots but, haven't been feeling well this summer. Think there's one more shoot for the yr. Only four as there's not much % for some reason. seems like this would be a popular group as it's a fun match and run well. A good shooter can make money at it by getting winnings back for the top three scores.
I'm amazed at how much crap I pack to the range when I go. CED, half dozen guns, shooting box and IF I take the b/p stuff there's another box of stuff for that. almost like moving to pack it all out and back in.
