I met Mr. Luxon a couple of times when he was the CEO of Air New Zealand. While he is considered to be way more conservative than the last couple of NZ governments, his political and social views would be considered pretty left wing here in the USA.

shanksponyHe has said no, but he has to form a coalition with the ACT party, who have made that one of their key points. I suspect the major stuff will not change, but we might well see the system tweaked to be more common sense and workably fair.

Anyone who expects any change to firearms laws here is dreaming . A faint chance that the new , and hugely inefficient , Register may be removed from the control of the Police , but it would be a brave man who put money on it
The new govt is simply more of the same , with differant faces smiling at you as they f*ck you over .
This country is destroyed , and has no chance of recovery.
