Some of the camemberts and bries from K.I. are truly outstanding.

gryphon1I`m a huge fan of any KI cheeses, they make more than several blue`s too you know...all great.
Leave out of the fridge for several days in milder temps to mature the flavours out...exquisite!

OzzieAnd Millel has the world's best parmiagano now. Beats Reggiano hands down. Look for their export quality gold label.

GatogordoJust returned from a food stockup expedition to Dallas. Central Market grocery stores have Roaring Forties Blue Cheese along with about 700 other cheeses. Several locations in DFW area. Yesterday it was $19.99/pound. Wonder what it costs in Oz?

AvatarI think I paid about 10 bucks AU for a block of Roaring 40's a couple of weeks ago.
I'm guessing it would have been be about a pound in weight. Was the standard 1/8th sized wedge that you get in the supermarket anyway, not sure of the exact weight.

tankhunterI work in a cold room and we unload tons of this stuff everynight ,never bothered trying it until i read this post ,ummm !!!! dont know whether i like it or not ! my wife spat it into the sink after trying it .although its good with carlton mid strength beer and sakata crackers .''Australian gold'' cheese is the opposite not enough mould in it ,but very good ! Every truck driver tells me '' i dont know what it tastes like, i dont eat the shit''.Anyway i am trying to acquire a taste for it, even if it does taste like something you clean the horse stables out with
