Bad Ass WallaceI couldn't believe my eyes
Found a little rabbit having a pick on the green grass just 3 yards from my workshop window this morning.
Aw! a baby bunny I thought;
then out of nowhere comes this flamin goanna that was so big you could have put a saddle on the bastard. Bunny in the jaws and he's off up the nearest tree! Wow, nature at it's best

gryphon1Good pics there BAW.. and excellent to see a good `ol Aussie getting one back on the Euro invader.
That `bert looks to have an old injury on its off side hind,maybe it slowed it that much that it helped old goanna.

Von GruffI had a bit of land in QLD a few years ago and we had big goanas ( one I got was nearly 5 ft long) that would keep taking the eggs from the chook house. They have an uncanny ability to be on the opposite side of the tree when you have a rifle in your hands and can keep circling ahead of you, unless you get right in close to the trunk and can keep up with them.

BakesGood pics BAW,

Our last bush trip with the last course we had 5 of these big buggers around camp. Freaked the dogs out. I think they're great. Why would you kill one?

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

I think about 14-15", the "g" was about 5 ft nose to tip of tail. Looks like the abbos did a dot painting on his back.
