shankspony2 moose sightings in 2 weeks from the same area.
Its starting to get a little bit more credible that there might still be moose alive.
First sighting by an American tramper who is a veterinarian from an area with moose.
now 3 people from Canada see one 2 weeks later in the same area. One of whom is a biologist.

shanksponyYeah. These sightings are a long way from the original release site. But by no means impossible.

the Pom70 years since they were definitely there. 30 years since they were probably there. Never been any evidence until now of them outside the initial release area. Definitely worth putting out a load of cameras but don't hold your breath hoping for a good photo.

I would love them to still be there. A young male was described well that means a minimum of three. But somehow after all these years of trampers/hunters/Tustins/cameras there is nothing of substance.I will believe when undeniable proof is proffered.

One thing for sure is that the area will be inundated with people of all sorts, some with firearms too no doubt...even CH may go there.
Btw is it even legal to shoot a Moose in NZ? I hope its not.

shanksponyAs it stands yep it's legal. And some idiot probably would. Though they would be in for a heap of shit if found out.
