Ogre6branyone used solids in a 20 guage shotgun??
HI
Have any of you guys used solids in a 20 guage shotgun??
Where did you get them and what sort of performance did they give on close in pigs and goats etc,
What about large shot like AAA's or SSG??
Does anyone know about casting your own projectiles to suit the 20 guage- sort of making it into a light double rifle??
thanks

My family in Ohio used 20 guage with
slugs for 30 yrs on deer. mostly 50-75 yrd
shots. With the new sabot slugs and a rifled slug barrel 125- 150 yrds. I still prefer 12 gauge though

Sambar 9.3Not lately, but I have used the 20g Rottweil Brenneke on pigs, out to about 40 or so paces, with good effect.
As for the large shot, apart from loading your own, I don't know where you would find any, it's been a long time since I have seen any Winchester #3 buck on the shelves. The biggest stuff I have seen lately has been the 20g Rio BB's. Good on foxes, but I probably wouldn't try them on anything bigger.
JMHO.

Ogre6brcool a nice load of BB's would make a great whistling gun.
Have rios been started to be imported again into Australia- do you know who the agent is??
