GreybeardBushmanVictorian Duck Season 2010
Season has been declared from March 20th to May 30th
Honestly didn't think we'd get an extended bag limit to 8 birds compared to last year's three.
Will be interesting to see the animal libbers- and particularly good ole Laurie Levy- hunting for anti hunting head lines.
There are a lot of ducks around here at the moment- mainly woodies. Will be interesting how many are around in three months time. A really wet start to the year would be good

wirehuntIs that eight an all up bag or just one species, and does that overlap with the roar there?

GreybeardBushmanFrom the Minister's press release
"This season hunters will be allowed five game ducks per bag (with a maximum of one Australasian Shoveler), plus an additional three Wood Ducks. This is significantly below the traditional 10 bag limit but an increase of three above last season’s limit."
I am not up with most of the deer hunting scene. I know the Red reason near the Grampians is either June or July. Seem to be people hunting fallow around this area all year round but I'm not into that. And I know a couple of deer hunters who go over near Mansfield somewhere after sambar in late winter. Not much help on that one, wirehunt.
