My time in Townsville is coming to an end. Never got around to doing any hunting but caught some nice fish. Leaving here on the 27 Sep to go home with the family again and next year when I come back from deployment I'll be running the dog section at Amberley RAAF base. BUT I will also be back close to the ADA club and its properties so I can get back and do some hunting.

Yeah I got an early posting as the SGT at Amberley has put in his discharge. All good for me.

Its a very big section and apparently the CO requested my posting there.

Nice change for cooler weather.

When I was retiring we went up to Cairns and into the FNQ to try and figure out if we could stay in OZ or not. Nice place but I'd need a summer place in Queenstown for October-April, I can't take hot and humid like that. I reckon we were there in the key season in August. Swimming in the reef was cool, but damn nice.

Maybe a few reds and rusa around Amberley?

Reds for sure and some rusa are waking their way in. Just found out that my ADA branch has lost access to a good property. BUT I do have access to another one
