muzzaRifle for a small boy
Here is a pic of the Remington Targetmaster singleshot .22rf that I severely shortened for my six year old son.
Other rifle is a Norinco JW-15 for size comparison
I cut about eight inches off the barrel , recrowned , recut the dovetail for the front sight , cut about 6 inches off the forend , reshaped , slimmed and lightened , cut about 7 inches off the stock , slimmed it , reshaped the pistolgrip for little hands and have to fit the yet-to-be-made alloy buttplate. A days work all up , and so far it seems to be ok.
The problem with buying a cheap rifle is finding one that isnt too good to chop .Couldn't bring myself to butcher my Anschultz single shot ... This one has a barrel ring three inches back from the muzzle but doesnt seem to affect its accuracy much . If it proves to be a hassle I will rebarrel it with a new .22 barrel for $25 , no big deal.

muzzaBugger - dunno what happened to the pic size , should have been way smaller than that .
Oh well - excrement is a naturally occurring phenomena.....
