Dont disagree with you mate . Personally I believe we ( meaning Kiwis and Aussies ) should put the effort into a more relevant celbration , like Anzac Day . Of course here in NZ the Politically Correct would rather have us celebrate Waitangi Day , being the day the "Founding Document" of our Nation was first signed , shame I cant agree with that myself...

But at the end of the day tradition has us burning effigys of Guy Fawkes and shooting off fireworks , and I enjoy it so I can live with the theme for a while yet And we used to be English , and its an English tradition..
