It was opening morning of our game bird season at the weekend,few highlights.

TP glad to see you had a productive opening weekend. Nice pics and a bonny dog.

Those black swans are a big bird. What do they taste like?

Read in the Chch edition of the press today that some dopey bugger shot a pair of white Swans off a pond by the North Rakaia Huts.. apparently the guy could be fined upto $10k!

Sadly I did not get out duck shooting this weekend as my shotties are thousands of miles away in the UK, but went out pig hunting on Sat & shot a young boar for the table.
