Is the 6.5 a Tikka T3 with 5 shot mag?

yes both are Tikkas with large mags although the 7mm rem mag only holds 4, need the extra mag when on a mob

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Congratulations Wazza.

The bloody things are sponges with body shots hey ? I won't use less than a 9.3 (except for head and neck shots in which case a .243W is fine) You need a premium 175 in that 7mmRM.

How did your tyres hold up ? What are they ?

The 6.5 was dropping them in the shoulder they just take a while to fall over, the tryes are BFG mud terraines, I'm going for a heavier bullet in the 7mm,son also getting a 300win mag that should slow them up

Looks like a lot a fun. I know camels are feral in Australia, but I am not familiar with camel hunting. Are these hunts used to control population, do you eat em, use the leather, or trying to get rid of them like we americans do with feral hogs?

I didn't go up there to die, I went up there to live.

control them "and it's good shooting something" as they are building up into large numbers in the interior desert country, brought some meat out still to try it but have been told it's quite good

Wazza,

My son used a Vanguard 7mmRM with 160 Woodleighs at approx 2,900 fps and they didn't penetrated nearly as much as we expected.

He ended up neck shooting this one after two went in the chest. Shouldn't have been surprised as they can get to 400kg+ (800lbs).

Thx for the tyres info. When are you going back ?

Oh how I wish we had a bunch of feral camels, donkeys, and water buffalo running around the USA we could go out and shoot anytime. You guys down under sure have some great hunting opportunities.
