Well its been awhile...
Since I posted anything. Been a shit month or so. My son and his wife have separated so we are dealing with that and trying to make sure the grandkids are ok. I was going to take my boy out for a hunt last weekend but we were rained out! SO this weekend we braved the boat ramps and the thousand other boaters to put in at Port Brisbane. Caught 3 fifths of bugger all but we had a good talk as you do when your stuck on a boat. The photo below of the lad is him hooking into a bloody big ray! Big Grin

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Sorry to know you're caught up in that Tony. Feel sorry for the kids too. Hoping af least a workable solution is possible.

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

Very sorry to hear that. Hope they can keep it civilised and sensible although that isn't often possible.

Sad to hear that Tony, hopefully it can be an amicable separation so caring of the kids is not impacted by adult bickering and bloody mindedness. Kids can be surprisingly resilient and happy being shared between separated parents and of course grandparents who also must maintain good relationships with both parties.
I have a little experience in this area, two of our seven kids having split with their partners after having kids. In both cases they were amicable splits, sharing care of their kids with ex's and grandparents and both the daughters have gone on to have another kid each with their respective 'new' partner/husband. One of them, our youngest daughter with a 7 yo boy to her ex, gave birth to another boy to her new partner only last week so we have a new grandson making six all up now.
You just have to go with the flow and try and maintain good relationships with everyone.

Hopefully things will work out okay for you guys.

Yeah that's what we are doing mate, going with the flow! What makes if difficult is that the daughter-in-law mum is a junky that she doesn't have anything to do with (Her dad is dead, also a junky), so we have been her family for the last 9 years. Shes a good mum and the mum of our grandkids so the wife and I will still support her.
