Richard KymbleRe: Forum technical help needed
Thanks Mike,
I've set it to +5 hours but still have to shift+refresh to see new posts, although they show up in the directory

Mike375You often need to click Refresh for the index to update.
I don't too much about this stuff but I think there is some called a proxy server and there is a time delay with update. When I first got Optus cable a feww years ago I had to get some changes made because at times the postings would be several hours behind, even when I refreshed. That was placing me at a serious disdvantage for fights in the Political forum

Richard KymbleWhat offset do I need to set this to so that I get the right display time?

I have a lot of dramas viewing this forum and think this may be the cause?
Thanks in advance
(time of post 2100 hours Monday 9th of August 2003)

Mike375Here is a world clock
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/This site is et to default at Dubai time whicg is 6 hours behind Sydney and Brisbane so you should add 6 for the offset and then if you are logged in the forum times should be Sydney/Brisbane. Of course it will change with daylight saving.

Mike375Just checked and the offset is 5 hours because the site is running 5 hours behind us.
