Just a quick ask for advice. Been too busy lately.
I was given a .303/25 with just three rounds.
Where could I get some ammo from quickly? It seems in very good condition, particularly as I had heard the bore had been shot out.
Does the mob in Seymour (Betram?) still make ammo too?

darwinmauserTheres a set of dies on fleabay at the moment and it's a simple neck down job from the standard 303 British. I don't know if the dies are 5/8 or 7/8 as I did'nt look to hard, I belive Jansa in Sydney carry simplex reloading dies and they probably have a set.
It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack; not rationality.

ConGBB,
A local store in Shepp makes up/reloads 303-25, usually sells around $30-35 per 20. Holler if you want me to check out availability.

muzzaAustralia is still bursting at the seams with 303/25 ammo - lots of packets of Super loaded ammo at gunshows and in gunshops . If it was 303/243 you might have more trouble but the .25 verion was very popular . And its being commercially loaded by several gunshops now too .
Bertram makes brass and dies will be available locally too.Course you could neck down some new 303 cases and have good useable brass for very little cost too.

Ray Jansa probably has Simplex .303/25 dies in stock, as stated, but I also know that Safari Firearms and Western Firearms also have them. In one of these three shops (I can't remember which) I saw around 5 or 6 sets of .303/25 7/8" dies. I can't recall what brand they were but I think that they were Lyman as they were in orange boxes, just like the Lyman boxes.
Next time I am in these shops (this week, probably) I will check it out and get some prices, too ..... if you want.

Sambar 9.3You could try Claytons, they did have some 'riverbrand' 303/25. Or Mialls, he's got stuff lying around in that shop he doesn't even know about. I saw about 10 or so packets of 'super' 303/25 there a few weeks ago.
Try Peter up at Wangarratta (adventure camping and fishing), if he hasn't got any, he will know who has!

GreybeardBushmanI'll be PM to a couple of you very soon- tomorrow- about your postings.
I have a Redding press so I cain't use Simplex dies but you blokes are so aware, it is good.

ConGBB,
If your after loaded ammunition just be aware that shipping will be the catch. Best to get dies and neck down commercial 303British cases.

Bad Ass WallaceDon't forget to trim from 2.220 to standard length of 2.185 after necking. That will save you from shouting WTF when new shells are hard to chamber.
#03/25 is one of my favourites but on a P14 action.

Sambar 9.3You could also try Allen and Lanes in Bendigo. I spoke to Vic at the gunshow, he thinks they have several boxes back at the store.
