Whats Australia coming to?

This morning i hear on the radio that HIV positive imigrants are ok...they MAY need to report to a health authority on arrival though! Its the " MAY " that has outraged groups!! they argue that its an invasion of civil liberties, privacy or whatever.
When my old man applied to come out here years ago from Europe, he was screened for health, as was the family, he had to prove he was a skilled worker that contributes to Australian society..And he did being motor engineer.... Now they have no issues with HIV positive, unskilled, uneducated, un conforming and god knows who else they letting in here???

In order to migrate to Australia as a general skilled migrant you have to pass a points test .
your skill has to be assessed by the appropriate authority

you must pass a criminal background check

must be under 45 years of age

and you must meet the health criteria.
As far as i knew you couldnt have a health problem that put Australians at risk or would be a financial burden to Australia .

I cannot see how HIV could not be a Monetary burden or be cause for considerable concern as a health risk?

We have recently applied to migrate there and that is what it said on our forms?

When I applied to immigrate to Canada, they found a little shadow on my lung x-rays. That started a whole sh*tload of running around, paperwork, test that were ordered but never done (MD refused since he tested in another way that there was no way I had TBC), so many X-rays it would kill a donkey, and 6 months of delay and uncertainty. An HIV positives would be admitted?

Homos and HIV positives. Most of the AIDS money spending in the last decade or two has been spent on trying to prevent 'discrimination' against these social degenerates.
