darwinmauserHi Fergus
I have bought several shipments of firearms related goods into Darwin .I have imported bolt's for rifles and barrels for pistols .In the NT it works like this, (1)you order in what you want , in this case a stock. (2) customs intercept the parcel and send you a letter to tell you they have it . (3)you take the letter to your local firearms branch and they issue an import permit.Import permit's are free in the NT (4) you take the import permit to customs and collect the goods,And hopefully the value is low enough that you don'thave to pay import duty and gst.I think it is'nt worth the paper work for under $200.00
It's that simple here in Darwin, what it's like where you live I don't know.
Up here if I own a mauser I can import mauser parts if I own a sig I can import sig parts and so on......
hope this help's
regard's Pete

your are absolutley corrct you dont need an import permit for a stock but i get one anyway as customs feel a lot better and lot more important if they have a bit of paper in there hand...things go very smoothley
