muzzaThanks Tony
Thought I would try on here first - if need be I can bandsaw one out of a lump of macrocarpa timber that will do for now - its not as if it needs to be a showpiece - just a shorter handle that can have bits added to to as Matt grows longer arms

Easy_RollinsAlways figgered you for a butt man Muzza.

Shirly there is butts in NZ somewhere??Did you guys have Cadet Martinis? At gunshows here they are asking around $20 these days + the postage to you.

What have you got to trade?

Regards,Shaun.

muzzaI could trade witty repartee with you mate - but I imagine it would get lost in translation.....

There likely are buttstocks over here - I had one that I sold 6 months ago , as you do - but since you guys used far more Cadets than we did I figured I was more likely to find one in Oz than here - although kiwi readers are free to reply too.
As a matter of interest - did you know that NZ was issued with Cadet rifles before Australia ? We had them for about six months before you got them.....rivalry even back then , eh ?

HiWallI have a little .22 sportco martini that I will be pulling apart when I get home early March. Using the action to build a .17HMR on. If it suits and you are still looking I can post it over to you - don't know if it would fit a .310 size action??

muzzaNot sure on the measurements either H-W.
I will measure the butt shank width and depth and get back to you .
Bad Ass Wallace was going to hunt one out amongst his pile of treaures , but he may have gottn sidetracked...

muzzaIn yesterdays mail ,Bud.
Fitted it last evening , fits the small white hunter much better now . Could have used it at the weekend when he potted his first couple of goats - one with the Hornet.
I can see my stocks of Hornet ammo going down real fast real soon.....
Thanks very much , Matthew will appreciate a better fitting gun , and several other kids will likely use this one as a first time centerfire too so it will be well used by the time it is outgrown.
A truly noble gesture on your part BAW , many thanks .

GreybeardBushmanGood to see you are still alive Muzza.
I have been a bit occupied with all types of stuff at present so haven't been here as much as I should have been.
But tonight I have had a few long necks (big bottles of beer) so I am very verbose. Good to see you again!
Tomorrow I am going to be a bit ill. We only live the once though.
As I have said elsewhere, if you are as good as me Kiwi teacher mate, you MUST be a great bloke........
Hic, burp. hic........ bed
