Christmas hunting
Who's doing what?

I'm off down to the blue mountains with the family and will be taking the .22 and shot gun. Going to do a bit of rabbit shooting and fox whistling with the fabulous Baker Boys. But before that we are popping up to Tin Can Bay on sunday to see my folks and do a bit of fishing and crabbing.

What if you have the capes tanned here, will that make it easier getting through quarentine?

Are you flying into Brisbane first Muzza?

Tin Can Bay prawns (shrimp) Bakesey have to be amongst the best,I have had them from there 10 inches long and thicker than an old model Chiko roll.Try and get some!
Go out to the lighthouse at the Sth end of Rainbow beach and look down for sharks and turtles, the kids will love it.
Meanwhile I did do a spot of fishing down the creek recently with my old krico .22..Euro carps, rats of the water ways here in Aus.

Nice shooting fella's! I've caught a few carp on lures in Wyanglla dam. Bloody things can pull. Also saw a bloke on telly (the show is called River Cottage) who kept live carp in clean flowing water for a week and cooked it up. The people eating it said it was "quite nice"

River cottage muppet,i see that crap is on Australian TV now too.

Yes,they are a great sports fish.I only shot they because they were in a flooded paddock and would have died anyway.

Least he puts a bit of shooting and game-gathering on prime-time TV right around the world. He may be a git but at least it is a promo for the sport. Jamie Oliver does a bit of it too....

I love River cottage. As Matt said at least he shows everything, guts and all.

We'll we're back from Tin Can Bay. Not a bad visit, put the boat in and went for a explore up the Great Sandy Straight. Lots of small fish that went back, we ended up keeping a nice bream and a flathead. Caught a heap of bream but they were just a poofteenth under legal size. Had to watch out for the green zones Mad. Saw a fair few pro's netting the sand flats which is probably why there is bugger all with any size to it. Spoke to some old timers down the bowling club who say that the fishing is crap now days.

This is my young bloke with a small flathead

and his older brother with a small mackerel
