I posted my photos here as i think they will be of more interest to Australian/New zealand members than the guys on Canadian forum.I spent a week in the bush with two Canadian mates one of them got a limited draw TAG for grizzly bear.I got a non-resident alien hunting licence to hunt small game. Here is a rough Grouse i shot a heap of them and they are very good eating. Here is a spruce Grouse We saw a few Moose here is a cow Base camp and the view from our camp here is a mate with a black bear

Shock , horror ! Is that a pump action shotgun with a pistol grip ?
The next knock on your door will probably be the federal police . Little Johnny Eyebrows will want you arrested on suspicion of terrorism . Roll Eyes

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Did your amigo have any luck with the griz ? Ruff grouse are fabulous eating as you know ... I didn't notice you commenting on eating spruce grouse ? Confused I wouldn't be at all surprised if that funky shotgun was primarily for feeling better when things go bump in the night outside the tent in the wilderness ... Eeker Smiler

Spruce Grouse that is one strong tasting bird Big GrinThe shotgun is the camp gun and is loaded with slugs most of the time.No Grizzly but we got very close,on one of the islands in the river we found wet foot prints on the stones must have missed him by just a few minutes. Some Moose hunters up the road had a grizzly come into camp at night and try and steal one of their Moose. Here is a grizzly foot print And a wolf
