Re: Any Aussies Business Re-Bores Barrels ??
I think a re-barrel will be the best bet, anyways my ideas have changed in the past few days. I think I will keep it as a .300 winnie and if I change it will be to the .300 RUM.

PC, The last time I talked to Sprinter it was quite expensive as Bwana bob said.Don't quote me but I think around $500 or so had I gone through with it.However this was a special job, 375-50BMG to 50 calibre.

cr500,

There is a Ruger No1 in .470NE at Adventure Camping and Fishing (Wangaratta, Vic) with dies and 20 cases for around $2,000. This rifle belongs to a friend of mine and was, many years ago, also owned by me. To my knowledge it has fired only ten rounds.

Does anyone have contact details for sprinter barrels?

I can't recall their phone number but the address is 37 Church St, Hahndorf. (Boy I must have spent a lot of time there because it has been more than 10 years and I can remember the address without problems.)

I was thinking of converting an existing 45/70 No1. If a rebore is around $500 and some other minor work costs around $250 ,it would be a cheap toy. Also thinking of boring a Mod70 barrel out for a 50 Alaskan.
Does anyone have contact details for Sprinter Barrels

Bakes,

I think that Robert Tobler (RDT Products - Robertson, NSW) can rebarrel the Anschutz for you. A friend of mine read this thread and mentioned that Robert was talking about such a job recently, so it might be worth checking out.
