muzzaArmistice Day Today
Gents - today is the day that marked the official end of hostilities in WW1.
The Armistice was enacted at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month back in 1918 , in a rail car in France, and brought a close to hostilities on the Western European battlefields. War still raged for some time on the Russian Theatre but eventually ceased there too.
Maybe we could take a moment to quietly contemplate the lives lost on all sides , and the sacrifices made back then .....

zhabaAs an old soldier isn't it sad that we still haven't learnt from this terrible loss of life and that is still happening in the world today........................ May we never forget those that have laid down their lives so that we my live ours, lest we forget
