BakesSo some good news for the Kiwi's
Ardern is resigning.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

30.06kingYes, a good thing in my view. She and her government are no friends of the many recreational firearms users here. In fact they are outright anti firearms ownership. I'm pretty sure she's reading the very large writing on the wall telling her she and her party are toast in the October elections. They accomplished so little of the idealistic waffle they proclaimed would make our lives wonderful and with conditions now spiralling steadily down in these difficult times Jacinda has lost her gloss, her party is losing it's grip and and they know they can't turn this around. Most Kiwis have twigged and turned away from Jacinda and want to see the back of this worthless bunch.
My only hope is with her and her party gone the replacement lot come in planning to close the newly legislated Firearms Registry that's supposed to be up and running by June.

shanksponyYes, She scapegoated the NZ firearms owners who have one of the highest records of public responsibility and respect for the law, to hide that fact that her govt and the police had systematically destroyed the firearms licensing authority through lack of personnel and funding too the point where massive corners were been cut or procedures designed to weed out unsuitable people ignored. So that when a foreigner with a history of visiting worrisome places and with no friends who would vouch for him, or family to do the same, got a licence and guns and ammo and killed 50 people, she blamed us and has punished us ever since.
This day could not come soon enough. Regardless of her other failings, and there are many, I will never forgive her for that! Colloquially speaking, I hope she rots in hell.

SkylineWas great to see her resigning on TV yesterday. Hope this results in positive things for NZ firearms owners.

Sadly, there is no way in hell that Trudeau will resign, as his narcissistic personality disorder simply wouldn't allow for it. So we have to hope that enough people will be sick of the ass and boot him out in the next election.

the PomLets keep things in perspective! Jacinda has gone. Great! I she a fundamentally evil person who will rot in Hell? No, she just made mistakes.
Just because she was a political oponent and I disagreed with her policies and suffered financially, physically and emotionally due to them, doesn't mean she is not a decent human being. Jacinda just had different life experiences and influences from me, leading her to misguided beliefs in left-wing, woke ideas.
If she had been born into a level of poverty which many Africans would find taxing (like I was) and had to work her way to wealth, she would be less keen on taking from those who work and giving to those who wont.
Socialists are not by, definition, evil persons. In fact I have met many fundamentally decent human beings on the left of politics and some very nasty pieces of work on the right.
We are fortunate that the Labour party has chosen a competant individual in Chris Hipkins as the new Prime Minister. He will make a good leader of the Opposition after the October election.
Would I die for my political beliefs? Absolutely not! I have often been proved wrong. Would I die for the right of others to express beliefs opposite to my own? Absolutely!
Unfortunately few people on the left would do the same for me. True democracy is in danger both from the Left and from the Right because people wont listen to ideas which differ from their own.

shanksponyIm more cynical of her actions. She had a nasty streak that occasionally poked out from behind the loving veneer.
The Open and transparent Govt she promised turned into a very closed and opaque one very quickly.
Plus more than anything she was incompetent and it never seemed to be about governing for NZ, it was about implementing socialist ideals.

30.06kingI can't remember if we have had a more incompetent government than Jacinda's lot. So incompetent they are embarrassment to themselves. Soundly failing on delivery of political promises, either ideological or practical, they sort of hit the wall, suddenly out of ideas, wondering " what the hell do we do now...??" There's no point in letting them continue as they can't fix anything. They've already proven themselves incapable. Kiwis know and feel it. As figurehead Jacinda cops the worst of the vitriol ( goes with the job FYI Jacinda ) from the more vociferous but it's representative of the now wider sentiment. Yes, Jacinda has the "loving veneer" but I ask whether her "love" is for the country and people or idealistic and woke philosophy.

gryphon1Its the same the world over, these germs get into the top job and have to put their own personal stamp on things.
I`m not like that as I would only take the tax off firearms abolish the gun registry and abolish hunting permits..see what I mean!

gryphon1I would certainly recognise what value the hunters are as opposed to DOC.

muzzaThe evil witches replacement is another disciple of the WEF Young Leaders training program , so it will be business as usual with a differant face on display. The ones I fear most are the ones in the background pulling the strings - Helen Clark is still there and she is the devil incarnate in the destruction of the country to date .
There will be no halt to the register , there will be no halt to the unbridled power of the Police , nothing will change - not now nor after the next election as the winner of the next election is also a follower of the WEF and a socialist in a blue coat instead of a red coat.
