Back from the weekend hunt
Went on a trip with the ADA Darling Downs guys. It was a mentor hunt and I took along a work mate I introduced to the club. Noddy had not bagged a deer before and had a good chance on this meat hunt. It was does only on this hunt and 5 were put in the meat room. I saw a lot but sadly couldn't get a shot away.

Bloody cold for us with -3 mornings climbing to 20 degree days. We had access to a nice house and old shearers quarters so we had some pretty comfy digs.

Terrain was a mix of cleared grassy paddocks and some bush blocks with most deer being taken on the fringes of the bush blocks.

Noddy bagged his deer on the afternoon of the second day.

and got blooded rotflmo

The house had a good butchering room under it. Stainless, new concrete floor and fully screened.

I'm not real fussed that I didn't get anything. I had a great time and was happy Noddy got his first deer...I think he's hooked now.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Good he got one.
Better than if you had and not him.
Always a great feeling to help a newbie
connect.

Good for you Bakes.
