Positive article in an unlikely place.
So I got the latest edition of Organic gardener magazine (yeah I know what can I say I like my vege patch Big Grin) In it there is an article from a guy called Rohan Anderson who is flogging a book called "Whole Larder Love". The article talks about killing chooks for food (except they call it Humanely killing instead of what it is...just killing)And he says he hunts rabbits, hares and ducks for the pot! All very positive but how come when he kills for the pot he's living a sustainable life style. When I do it I'm a red necked murderer Confused Big Grin

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

I find that the food sections of newspapers are less anti-hunting than the rest and often have stories like that. Eating is pretty elementary (canal Smiler) after all. And not only is wild game less likely to have drugs and chemicals but you know how it was treated on being dressed. Only a few generations from the hunter-gathering our ancestors did for millions of years, I think we retain an innate satisfaction in winning bounty from nature - and that may even help the digestion.

Also, in Oz and NZ nearly everything you hunt is an introduced species, which changes the hunter from monster (in the modern eye) to ecological warrior.
