That is why I started posting here too, same as Ann(more or less). I don't hardly even look at the politics forum anymore and the Humour section seems to be loaded with ass clowns not jokes.(we need some new ones from the likes of marshmule )
To the denizens of the Aussie section, Don't change a bloody thing. I lkie it the way it is! derf

I get on this board nearly every day maybe once or twice depending on the workload, and for a while now. If I didn't enjoy all the topics and threads why would I even bother logging on. This is a great site.

May the trans Tasman fun continue: 0ne day I'll get there Muzza and say G'day

And to our yankee friends: keep visiting its great to learn about your part of the world.

This is not directed at Far Canal but at the subject in general.

I hope that , as one of those who post drivel and receive drivel , that I am entitled to add to this discussion too .

Sometimes no-one has been hunting so has no new tales to tell . Sometimes we indulge in good natured trans Tasman stirring . Never do we stoop to the levels of character assassination that you find in the Political or similar Forums . If it seems that only a few people post regularly then ask yourself how many posts there would be if those few didnt post . Check out the Cartridge Collectors Forum to see how regularly that is used .

If you want scintillating and intellectual posts all the time I suggest you are in the wrong forum , but feel free to post threads that will grow into long and meaningful discussions . If not , simply dont bother coming here . Its a free Country you live in ( well , nearly free ) and we wont miss you that much cos we will be busy posting drivel to amuse ourselves .

Get over it .

Hey Muzza,
Do you flyfish over there in God's own country? If so,give me an address where I can send a couple of patterns that you work just about anywhere.
As for the nature of topics on this forum. I fish and hunt with a shearer, a psychologist, a waterfront worker, a highway patrol officer, a plumber, a ski instructor, a CEO of a multinational company and all of these guys are interested in having fun regardless of the topic.I'm a newsagent and I read the forums several times a day, but I don't contribute regularly.(My seven year old daughter types faster than me)
Be thankful for people like Bakes who don't have real jobs and have the time to keep the rest of us amused, informed and entertained.
If you don't like or agree with the content exercise your democratic right and read something else.

Interestingly I think that this forum and the African forum get more traffic than the other ones. I haven't seen any stats on that, its just what I think.

If you look at the "last posts for 24 hrs" feature you will see 80% of the posts on AR seem to be on the Politics forum.

Now that IS drivel.

Political opinions are just like Arseholes - everyone has one but it is polite to keep yours to yourself. Of course on the Political Forum many of the opinions are expressed by ars.....s , which is what makes it a tedious diversion to read any of them .

Interesting to note the starter of this discussion hasnt taken the time to offer any further opinions or suggestions, but at least he did foster an intelligent conversation that didnt degenerate into drivel

The feeling is mutual. Keep the drivel coming, for a lot of us it is the only way we will ever learn about yours. Thanks for putting up with us Yanks.>John

Come on Muzza, quit with the overstatement. You should know better. Any discussion involving Kiwis and Aussies should never be labelled "intelligent!"

ODW - you are right of course , but then I was being polite putting the word "intelligent" into a discussion on an Australian.

But the thread has continued so the purpose of it has been met . Maybe Macawber was just laying games with us all.....

Muzza hit it on the head, I knew I would cop a bit of flak, because of my topic, and that was my aim. My aim was to liven up things, and that was achieved. I know I'm not that much of a poster, but a seeker of info. Anyhow, who would use the term drivel?, unless they where a fan of Peter Sellars, or other british comic's. I'm glad to see that you can't take the mickey out of most!
