How cool is my place.
How cool is my place.
I have a couple of wallaby's that live down by the dam. My son and I watched a sugar glider glide from tree to tree untill it crossed the road the other night and as I came up the hill from splitting some wood today I had about 5 quail fly off from near my back veranda.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"
So when do you start making "moonshine"? I'm going to buy you a rocking chair and a whitlin' knife for Christmas

Walked Lola in Centennial Park yesterday and she put up around 15 quail. I love their little explosions from right under your feet. With a stout wind behind them those little suckers were going near Mach 2.
"the older I get, the better I was"
No shotguns in Centennial Park Rob...they'll have you on the 6 oclock news!
My little buggers flew about 4 meters away and took off running in the long grass. Cool little critters.

shanksponyIts cool being able to look out the windw and see wildlife. I get shitty when people shoot the rabbits on my lawn.
I have 8 acres surrounded by town but its cool to see ducks and rabbits out in my paddock - even when the cuddly little bunnies eat my vegetables in the garden....

shanksponyWell you better get used to it, because next winter I'm comming ver to clean up a few foxes. You guys who see them all the time have probably forgotten, but I was really thrilled to see the few we saw, and how quiet and stealthy they are.
Would love to spend a few evenings just sneaking round trying to outwit the odd one.
Just mowed my lawn yesterday (well more bashed slashed and hacked my way through chest high panic grass) As I sat on the veranda I watched a butcher bird swoop down and nail a mouse in the grass. As quick as any hawk.

gryphon1I slid open my back door yesterday after the neighbour alerted me to "theres that rabbit you are after" so this time through the doorway I poked Mr .12 and let rip and I am happy as the frigging thing was liking my young trees too much.
So much nicer living in the country eh!
