Rainy day question
So I'm sitting here watching it rain and contemplating a future hunt. My question is how feasible is a trip consisting of the following and/or what suggestions or changes would be better.
A week or so sightseeing NZ.
A week or so hunting FREE RANGE red stag- I don't care about gold medals and NO FENCES. Other species you might add?
Mrs Blacktailer usually shoots something off my license- chamois, tahr, suggestions?
A week or so sightseeing OZ.
Would like to bring our own rifles. Is it a problem to arrange storage or permits while we are sightseeing? We could share Mrs Blacktailer's rifle if that's easier.
Would like to do the above during the roar so possibly Mar/Apr 2012.
What say you?

No problem coming to New Zealand bringing firearms or hunting any game animals here, are you a bird shooter??

Australia is no problem depending on each state you want to hunt.

Basically, send a letter saying you intend arriving with a firearm, turn up at the airport with the rifle, your passport and proof that you are authorised to have a firearm in your own country. Details here, http://www.police.govt.nz/serv...earms/importing.html.

Storage of the firearms - simply arrange with a NZ firearms licence holder to store your firearms. You have until 2012 to do that so good luck.
