Andyroo.45/70 I presume? Ever used a .444 Marlin?
They sure are an unusual shape. Do they kill quickly with a scapula shot?

gryphon1They kill with just about every shot ever put too them.
One was documented going through the buff horn (diff beast) out from the head straight through into the neck and passing the full length of the bull and found in his arse!
And that was from one of those ordinary 375 Win big bores!

They kill, period.
Got three recoveries out of my 500/465 double early this year.
Wound channel is as good as any SN I have seen in big game
- ie Buffalo shot with Woodleigh RN SN bullets)

I think people will assume that is you in the pics Gryphon, as there is no other explanation... hence the 444 question above.

HendrikNZHi 500N
So would these qualify as driving band bullets - safe in a double?

ozhunterI spoke to Geoff from Woodleigh about the use with Doubles and he was happy with it.
Not sure about its feeding with 458Win so far but will keep trying.

crookneesWhat is the accuracy like. I use 300g woodleigh soft points and are very happy with them. Looking for some solids for a cape buffalo hunt. I want to use both types so if they would both shoot to around the same point of impact it would be beneficial

lawndartThese look to be a good bit easier on a double rifle barrel than the standard steel jacket solids that were blowing out the sides of $30,000.00 USD double rifles' right barrels.
They look to perform on a par with the North Fork Cup Point Solids.
The North Fork Flat Nosed Solids will feed out of the 458 OK.
North Fork is planning on making their 458 and 474 soft points into dual diameter bore riders, just like the solids.
