To put that into perspective , if all the USA's sports teams and athletes were selected from a city with a population of 4 million , financed as poorly as NZs sports people are and then got to compete at the Olympics I suspect the results would be a little more even.
Sports do not get enough funding here , nor do we have a big enough population to have a pool of elite athletes that can excel in most sports .
I cant wait for the whole deal to be over , sports - who needs it ?

I dont mind womens beach volleyball and synchronised swimming has its moments but the rest of them you can keep.
