Aussie hunter dies in NZ
Not good at all. Thoughts go out to his family.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Very sad and unfortunate to see a brethren hunter go this way. That region has some truly spectacular hunting country and some of the most unforgiving terrain I have ever experienced. Just thinking of my own few excursions there and simple, ignorant mistakes made I am grateful for not having come to grief.

RIP Tony. You will be missed.

He was a very experienced hunter and had hunted NZ numerous times, as well as other parts of the world.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Death and New Zealand mountains go hand-in-hand , unfortunately.
At least he went out doing what he loved to do , what more can you hope for ?

From now on is just a really bad time to be in the mountains unless you are ultra experienced. So much ice etc.

Very sorry to hear, but, it can happen to any of us. All it takes is ONE SLIP, and the landing. It's over then.

Best to his family n friends.

Beats dying in an old age home in constant pain and tubes sticking out of you, or dementia. We should celebrate a death like that.
