Muzza funn you should say that.

I knew a lot of people in Canberra that wanted to visit New Zealand but bitched about the accent, and didn't want their visit "ruined" by that. Kind of Toff bullshit, but some people are assholes.

In my mind I always thought "you fucking people go to Tasmania and listen to those people talk through their nose, but can't manage the Kiwis?"

quote:
An Aussie moved to Auckland and bought a house. A month after he moved in he bought a lawn mower and a long bamboo stick.

The Neighbour (me) was looking over the fence and saw Simmo the Aussie with long stockings and gumboots beating his lawn with the stick and then mowing it.

So he later asked Simmo what the stick beating of the lawn was about and if it was some ritual from back home.

Simmo replied "Nah maite, just making sure there were no brownies around".

"Brownies"? I said.

"Yey maite, those poisonous brownies are seeerious trouble." said Simmo

"Poisonous brownies?" I asked!

"Yeyh, snyiks maite" said Simmo.

"Snyiks?" I wondered and gave up.

Well, Simmo still does his lawn dance with long stocking and he is now into his third bamboo stick this year!

Not watching where I was walking and stepped on a brown one myself this morning walking across the lawn to the car.

We used to walk this big loop by ourhouse with the stroller in the afternoon, and it usually got dark before we got home. Did it for months without any problems, and then one night we ran into a big 9 footer brown snyk.

Last trip until it got below 15 C.

I've had a tiger snake pop its head out from under a slab in the middle of a Blue Mountains winter. Wasn't expecting that I can tell you.

We have bloody shit loads of snakes here on the Townsville RAAF base. The more it rains the more the swamp rises and the more browns come out to play. Did see a nice big water python killed on the road which is a shame. I like the pythons.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Had a big python cross the road by the Fair Grounds and Toyota dealership in Harrison, ACT.

Weird thing about that spot. In 3 years I saw an echidna, a heap of foxes and a goanna all within 100 yards on that same spot.

Must have been something weird going on there.
