Heading OS in a month, checked in with SSAA and their insurance does not cover hunting anymore???

I've used one called SureSave on going to NZ. It snowed heavily in ChCh and I was delayed there at least two days. Afterwards I claimed for my motel, food and even wine and they paid up without question.

I can't recall now if they covered me while actually hunting - many companies won't.

Thanks guys

It is the hunting bit I wanted to get sorted, like a hunting truck roll over, AD, stomped on, chewed up etc. I checked in with SSAA today but they declared that they cannot offer hunting cover anymore...

SSAA advised that the non cover started the minute the experience started, so basically as soon as you start traveling to the camp you have no insurance cover.

Rifles will be covered but not flesh and blood.

I will advise any favourable out come.

Good news!

Travel Insurance Direct cover hunting in their travel insurance policy.

This is part of their reply:

Thanks for getting in touch; sounds like you have an exciting trip to Africa planned.
There is coverage automatically available under our policies for hunting.

I suggest these guys are worth our support lest they fall prey to the PC crowd.
