Just voted. Still at 97% for the intelligent ones, 3% for the ones who feel criminals are misunderstood and are capable of being rehabilitated.

Now guys , surely you dont only see the bad in these unfortunate criminals. Is it their fault they had a bad upbringing? is it their fault that their parents chose alcohol over books ? Is it their fault that they were themselves the victims of violence at an early age ? Surely you can feel an ounce of compassion and see that these poor members of society are still human beings and therefore are worthy of every effort to assist them in becoming better people if the are just given a chance ?

Or should we just lock them up and throw away the keys ....
have we really become that uncaring as a society in general , and if so , doesnt that make us exactley the same as the criminals ...?

Muzza nice to see someone show a bit of humanity now and again I believe IN SOME CASES 2nd chances or to some social engineering criminals to rehabilitate their actions to others. Twenty eight years in the legal profession has taught me many things one of the main things is to represent a compulsive criminal is probably one of the most vile things I have done, I know longer do this my son worked for Legal Aid clients �N.S.W.� He had gone back to school for a career change smart lad. Yes young and first or second time offenders sometimes need a second chance.

Sad to say we put down vicious and dangerous dogs there are some out there that no amount of help would change them from being a criminal.
