Overnight this Sat and maybe Sunday in Christchurch

I need to overnight 1-2 this weekend before my hunt starts. I arrive Saturday morning.

Any recommended places that are hunter friendly?

One option is Sudima Hotel. Literally 5 min by road from the airport. They will have a free shuttle that runs back and forth. The hotel recently completed upgrades so should be tidy. I don't know their gun policy but they are not unwelcoming to hunters as I have seen hunters checking in / out there. Just check out their rates to see if they're reasonable.

You probably have already but also ask your outfitter / guide.
They often have accommodation contacts established to cater for visiting hunters.
