Geoff Slee's semi-inletted stocks make excellent bases for building up custom and semi-custom rifles. Geoff seems to be able to provide inletted stocks for almost any action but you would have to talk to him to make sure that he can do the Tikka 595 in the style you want.

Geoff can also provide wood from plain and utilitarian grades through to super fancy, if that is what you want.

You will, however, need to be able to fit and finish the stock, or get someone to do this for you (Geoff does great stockwork, too, by the way). I say this because I have seen some rifles stocked with Geoff's semi-inletted stocks and whoever did the work did not really understand the process of fitting, bedding and finishing and the results have been disasters - a waste of a good stock.

I bought a Brno 7x57, sometime back, and it was one of these 'disasters'. Fortunately, while the stock was poorly fitted and finished, whoever did the work didn't remove too much wood so I was able to re-inlet, bed, re-shape and re-finish it to end up with a rather nice rifle.

I don't think Geoff has an email address, but his phone number is 03 53677282.

When I went to see Geoff- mid December last year he didn't have the inletting pattern for a the 595 and my synthetic stock was too flexable to take it off.

I have been short of the reddies to go back to him with my 595 wood continental so he can use that instead.
