When do the Reds usually begin roaring up there?
Is there any truth to what ive been told thats its the easter full moon? i always thought it was the change in weather?

Cheers

pretty sure its the length of the day that sets the hinds cycling which makes the stags roar.

I think the moon along with the shorter day's do the deed, but then last roar was very odd for us down in fiordland, it came very late in the piece.

Are you going for those red's in the middle of Brisbane?

Happy hunting

the mate just back from scouting related the tale of his hunting and mentioned how he even heard " half a roar" over the past weekend

The farmed Wapiti started casual bugling 2 weeks ago
I have one fallow buck still in velvet the smaller bucks stripped 10 days ago.
The red stags are pushing and starting to get dirty but not roaring this southerly snap will put some snow on the tops and get them serious now.
I have a great mountain bike ride from my house, I ride past, fallow, reds, wapiti, fallow, reds canadas, mallards reds and home again.
