LowndsieAustralianHunting.Net - problems?
If you mean the stirling 22mag that shoots 20mm groups with winchester power points at 100m..... its doing very well thanx.

ccgee guys, getting all political there> i am a ahn mem and i dnt shoot things with my keyboard or computer. i am a avid shooter and hunter, i offer advice from what i know and have had hands on experience from, sure i dont like 243's but i have owned and used them. i like to keep it that way. i own and use large caliber centrefire rifles and evem a wsm, i comment on what works for me, and hopefully some people will benefit from that. After all isn't that the gist of the forums.....we all had to start out some how. Sure there are those that are genuine and it shows, others are notso, some dont have a clue, but generally once you sort out who is who it aint that bad of a site
cheers cc

dan_ozWith the volume of contributions some people make, not just there but here, I have to wonder how some of you find
time to get out and actually do any shooting.

16 November 2006, 16:01
WizA goodly amount of this going on earlier in this thread

Some of us waste way too much time on these forums, but if we all posted just "four"! posts in two years, well I guess you would have no reason to visit either, as absolutely nothing would be happening here.
Try contributing something.
17 November 2006, 08:06
dan_ozPricked you did I, Nitrox?

17 November 2006, 10:19
malcolm56Dan_Oz, Yes, we some of us ( me included )probably spend too much time "talking to our mates on these forums" but, that's what makes forums work. You know, I'm remembering what my late father used to say to me when I was a kid "little boys should be seen and not heard"
and "unless you have something usefull to say--
don't say it at all"
I think you should follow my Dad's advice
Malcolm
17 November 2006, 11:00
dan_ozYou seem to have missed the point, malcolm56 or whoever you are. Maybe subtlety isn't something your Dad covered

.
But hey, maybe all posts should be measured by your Dad's standard, including those above. That'd cover the Schadenfreude and name-calling too, wouldn't it?

Alpine HunterWondered why there had been no posts by Gryphon over that way for a long time. I must have missed when that happened.
There is certainly less passionate sambar posting going on now. Rarely are the words 'premier game animal' mentioned. A lack of interesting photos with the associated mystery attached (like 'what sort of deer is this?' and 'this is a secret spot but look at this photo'). Now there is a lack of live sambar shots that Gryphon has posted elsewhere.
The valuable contributions were very welcome on the site. The obvious experience and success of his sambar hunting was always great.
On the other side of the equation I havent recieved any other PMs that were full of swearing, questioned my occupation or generally came across in a threatening manner since Gryphon has stopped posting over there. Its not as if I sit here shaking in fear of my life but none of it was necessary.
17 November 2006, 19:11
rugeruserC'mon girls, we all have opinions, we all have experience, we all have something to offer...
It's 'bitch fights' like this thread that make it easy for the 'powers that be' to promote their 'anti-gun' agenda......

I know very well I waste too much time on hunting forums. But I can't be off away from home hunting every month.
But I always find it amusing when someone says, "hey guys post something interesting, there's nothing here", and they don't contribute themselves.
BTW you've managed to raise your nothing post count to a minimum of 50% now, ie minimum of 3/6.
Please post some stories or photos of your hunts or shoots. So we can all appreciate and enjoy them.
Also what's your alias on AHN? I'm sure you have one there.

Always wanting to put the boot in...just remember the attachment in a previous post about pms being public...what you got was what you deserved and now here we are on another forum and you are still on about it...when will you develop some maturity?
I see that you are another that has joined a forum i have been contributing to with pics and posts, well are you going to start your bitchin`little girls game over there as well?
I cant believe it really,i havent been on ahn for fukn months and now one of their prize members is on this forum still ranting about a pm (no more than 2) that he had received, havent you got something better to post about for gods sake?
And any praise from your post above

BakesFella's this thread has gone on long enough. Everybody take their tablets and chill out! If you want to name call, beat your chest or have a pissing contest, do it some where else. Lets get back to talking about hunting/shooting and other more interesting past times.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Alpine HunterI was just posting some personal experiences that related to the discussion.
I have well and truly moved on, however there are always two sides to a story and was expressing that with my post.
Agree Bakes,
I wont be posting any further on this.
Back to the original topic: It is a pity that AHN is down at the moment. Cant wait for it to come back on line.

Lets drop all the bullshit, girls - there is few enough of us hunters/shooters left to get caught up in bickering contests.
