Aspen Hill AdventuresRe: Meat prices

Illegal? Wow, sucks to be all of you. I have farmers right down the road from me with a road sign for turkeys and beef, butchered.
In the next town north of me I can get all the hogs I want, any size, for the freezer from the farmer. Even spotty ones like Bakes shoots. He will even set up a spit for you and hickory smoke it for a lawn party if you like. I will probably buy half a hog in the fall.
The new craze here is "dwarf" breeds. There are some good cattle breeds available now in a dwarfed version for the small farmer to raise.
Sorry you don't live in a free country.
Can you raise and kill your own?

whtailtakeris it also illegal to purchase the beef, etc on the hoof -
and kill it yourself or send to a butcher?

I did this myself put around 450 lbs/204.5 kg

in the freezer= price, kill, hang, cut, wrap & quick freeze
meat prices range from $1.79/lb or $3.93/kg burger
to $12.99 /lb $28.5/kg ribeye
lets say I paid less then burger price for the 1/2 I bought
