I want to buy an economical but decent high fixed power target scope to test new rifles with. Will just be put on, shot, and removed. Was thinking of a Weaver T-36 or Sightron fixed 36X. Which one is best? Anybody have anything good or bad to say about thes scopes or other good choices?Weaver T-36Sightron fixed 36Xother

I've got a T-36 on top of a Cooper M21 Duece. IMHO it represents a great value!

bill r, If you are talking mirage it is there with a low power scope, just not as noticeable.

for a lot of versatility, why not take a look at the B&L 4200(?) series 8-32X variable? It will do just about everything you might need.

I like variable power scopes because when the mirage is too heavy you can always turn the power down. I use Leupolds 6.5-20x50mmSF boosted to 14.5x-35x.
