How much you looking to spend?

Been monitoring on a daily basis Ebay, BenchrestCentral, Saubier, 24HourCampfire, TheHighRoad, TheFiringLine, PredatorMasters, RimfireCentral, S&WForum, GunBroker, GunsAmerica and any other I can think of. Many of them I have active searches on which will notify me by email if there is a new item listed. Believe me, I'm really trying to find a used one.

How much am I looking to spend?

Well, they are all over the place from about $80 to $120. I would like to help out some forum member who has one sitting under the loading bench collecting dust and is not using it.

Reason I'm looking for something used instead of popping for a new one is I truthfully spent every dime I had in my firearms stash on a new used Cooper 17 M4 which comes with Wilson dies.
And I really can not afford a $100 press until about 3 to 4 months from now. By then all the PDs will be gun shy.

The Cooper is coming with a set of 30mm rings that I can not use and I will need to be getting some 1" rings so if you want some 30 mm rings let me know.

I was in our local Harbor Freight Store an noticed a arbor bearing press that could be converted to a reloading with very little work. Just an idea that I came up with because I spent all of my gun money too.

I used a plastic mallet with my Wilson dies through 2 years of competition before I bought a press.

Butch's suggestion will definitely work, and is pretty convient and cheap.

A few more ideas;
1) I know of one that was built from a small, light weight benchtop type drill press that had a burned out motor. It worked fine, and was basically free, since the drill press was going to be scrapped.
2) You might use a bench vise. You could mount it vertically if you wish.
3) Shooter's Corner usually has used arbor presses in stock for a bit less that retail.

I made my own a couple of times by modifying inexpensive drill stands ($5 at garage sales!).

I do like making things - say there Mr. Elkslayer, I can probably make you something that would work and for less than you can buy a used one for. Will help me design something and solve your problem at the same time. Heck, I would even take something gun/reloading related in trade for. Let me know at my e-address:
