Surgeon actions??
Anyone have experience with Surgeon Rifles (www.surgeonrifles.com) actions? I'm considering using their target model as the base for a longe range prairie dog rifle. I really like the integral recoil lig and 20 moa base. Would like some input befor I buy though.

I don't have one so I can't comment personally. But, if you don't get much here, try the forums at: www.snipershide.com there's quite a few "tactical" types out there using them.

I have a Surgeon and I don't think you will find a better action. It is straight & true. It does come with a blasted finish. So if you like a polished finish there is some work to do. Aircraft steel. The action will drop in a remington stock after you cut a relief for the bolt stop. Firing pin & cocking piece are the same as a Remington. Mine is a single shot target, they are also made as a repeater. Hope this helps.
