erwinmaes155 Palma in WIN mag for 300-600 metres competition
I'm very curious on switching from the Scenars 167 and 185 gr on my 300WSM to the lighter 155 palma bullets.
Mainly for the less recoil of this combination.
Anyone uses these bullets in a 300 magnum for 300-600metres target shooting?
Maybe the bullet is OK for 300 metres, and I stay with the 167 for the 600m range?
My gun is a Win m70 STREALTH with a 1:10 twist.

gduffeyYou can give them a try but do not make a decision on any short range test. You need to do this at the full distance. PALMA barrels are nominal .3075" by most of the better makers. The reason is the short bearing surface in the 155 Sierra PALMA bullet. Many have tried them with much frustration often looking for other problems. Remember this is the bullet designed for the International PALMA. They may shoot fine in your rifle if not try the 168's. good luck, gduffey

dick broussardi have loaded some 155gr in a 300wm 1:10 savage. they grouped up ok about below 3000fps. above 3000 it was more like a pattern. i only shot them at 100yds.

gduffeyForgot to mention that most PALMA rifles will have a 1:13" twist for the 155 Sierra. Your 1:10 twist M70 should shoot the 168 Sierra's very well. If you must try the standard Sierra 150gr. Matchking. I predict better results with the 168's. gduffey
