I am just having a hell of a time trying to decide between the Savage 10FP with H-S Precision stock ($890) and The CZ Varmint laminate in .308 ($760). I paper punch from a rest. Both should be damn good at it. The CZ is polished blue and wearing a grey/black laminate stock sure looks pretty in the catalog pic.

The H-S stock on the Savage carries about a $320 premium over the standard issue and feels rock solid. It also makes it look good enough so that you're not ashamed to take it home and show your friends.

Any thought and recommendations?
