Reloader 15 & temp sensitivity; who has tested ii?

It's all here! New gun, scope, dies and components. My research indicates Reloader 15 is a solid performer with the 120-130 gr class of bullets for the 6.5x47 Lapua. I load Reloader 22 & 25 and am aware of it's sensitivity to temp swings. I read where some think Reloader 15 does the same. I'm not looking for heresay. I'm looking for individuals who actually witness temp swings when using Reloader 15.

In Rifle or Handloader, Barsness commented on both RL22 & RL 25 being affected by temp changes, but noted that RL 15 was NOT affected by temp changes.
That's as close as I can get info wise.

There would not be as many service rifle shooters using it if it did not work under a wide range of temps.

All powders are sensitive to temp & climate, it's really determined by "which powder is less effected". R15 won my load development tests for my Rem XCR Tac-7 and can tell you that I didn't see or rather notice any changes in performance in the frige or in the oven. Remember, The U.S. Army has selected R15 for their official powder for the .308 and new 300 WM and temp testing is part of the qualifications. So with all that wind I just blew, I think your R15 in not only "less sensitive" to temp change, but is perhaps one of the best mid burning powders you can buy!

Ive had better luck with varget, then RL15!
That new IMR-xbr is heard to be the stuff! havent used it myself, but hearing very good things about it not being temp sensitive much @ all! Good luck finding some, for ive been looking for few weeks now!

The only sensitivity I have noticed with RL-15 is position. In my Nitro Express cases when the RL-15 is held against the Federal 215 primer, velocities are extremely uniform.

I became a distinguished rifleman shooting reloader 15 in a 223 service rifle. The CMP matches are conducted in all conditions at distances out to 600 yds. In CMP matches you don't get sighters, RL 15 performed well enough to place me to make the top 10% on multiple occasions! I noticed at low temp say 30-40 degrees it had less velocity loss than Varget which I consider a great powder for many applications. I would not hesitate to use RL15 until I proved to myself it was a problem in the cartridge I was loading it in. I cannot say the same for RL 17.
