Bags for occasional shooting.

Again, unabashedly soliciting advice. I'm attempting to design some bench bags for casual shooters who don't wish to invest in proper rests, but need some stability for load testing and scope adjustment. What would you suggest for material, shape, size, filler, etc?
Thanks,
Brice

Cut the legs from old denim or canvas pants.

Turn inside out and stitch the bottom with heavy duty nylon thread.

Fill with small polystyrene beads. They weigh a lot less than sand and don't leak out as readily.

Stitch up the top, again with heavy duty nylon thread.

Done.

I also cut the legs off of old denims, but fill them with sand from Home Depot.
One of the ranges where I've shot, they fill bags from lead shot with sand (kind of coarse stuff, too).

I've used shot bags and mixed styro packing peanuts and sand.

also what work quite well. Roll up some old carpet about 12" wide. Tie the ends with twine or just use duct tape.
