Chronograph suggestions
My Beta Chrony is no longer functional.

While it appeared to provide accurate data it's always been inconsistant. Very sensitive to bore alignment and lighting.

It's my understanding Oehler Chronographs are no longer in production..?

Any suggestions on manufactures of RELIABLE chronographs would be greatly appreciated.

It really depends on what you use a chrono for. If all that you want is an accurate reading of fps, SD, AD, etc, then the smallest PACT chronos are excellant, with a very reasonable price and an outstanding warranty and service.

On the other hand, if you're a numbers nerd and want a full scale ballistics lab then shop around for a used Oehler. They're still available. Or go to the full scale PACT.

I have both a Chrony and Ohler and have fired across the two at the same time, the Chrony always appeared to be every bit as accurate as the Ohler. Both have printers and the comparason of the results after a range session proved to me that the Chrony is an excellent system and a hell of a lot easier to set up. All I use now.

It is ny understanding that the Oehler 35 has been discontinued. Dr. Oehler was very helpful on another topic on "Reloading" section. Maybe you could ask him.
