Wm.S.LaddI have absolutely nothing upon which to base this vote. But it's gratifying to skew the data 100% in one direction.
Varmint Al goes into great detail explaining primer pocket preparation --
http://www.varmintal.com/arelo.htmVarmint Al is a retired Structural Engineer from Lawrence/Livermore labs -- "The Atom Bomb People." Al's page is directed toward varmint shooting -- which is a variant of "benchrest."
Al also warns about vibratory media cleaning of cases and how the necks bumping together "work harden" them.
Al runs a bunch of other speculations on his site which could only come out of the head of a structural engineer. It's interesting to speculate what affects group size -- besides the trigger nut.
I think maybe he's over the top.
Here's another link which will have you spending more $$$ on smaller groups --

butchlambertMost competitive 30BR shooters use Federal 205M or plain Fed. 205. Winchester will come in next. I don't know of anybody that uses CCI primers.

butchlambertHello Ray.
Guys, Ray is a very good benchrest shooter. He has a dog that may be as smart as he is though.
Welcome to the forum.
