The X-1 broke the sound barrier.

Lotta stuff has happened since then!

On sadder news, Tex Hill of AVG/Flying Tiger fame passed away yesterday.

I had the opportunity of a lifetime to attend the Gathering of Mustangs and Legends near Columbus OH this past September, There were over 100 P-51,s and more warbirds who flew in, what a spectacular show! Thought you might enjoy these photos I took of a P-40.
